The Intracept®️ Procedure is a minimally invasive, outpatient procedure that treats vertebrogenic pain. This implant free procedure targets the basivertebral nerve to relieve long-term pain and improve function.
How It Works
Step 1
Access the Pedicle
The Intracept®️ Introducer Cannula Assembly is advanced through the pedicle under fluoroscopic guidance.
Step 2
Create the Channel
The Intracept®️ Curved Cannula Assembly is used to create a channel to the base of the basivertebral nerve.
Step 3
Place the RF Probe
The Intracept®️ RF Probe is inserted into the curved path and placed at the base of the basivertebral nerve.
Step 4
Ablate the BVN
The Intracept®️ RF Generator is used to deliver radio frequency energy that ablates the basivertebral nerve.
